Scout Message
Have you ever wanted to sleep in a snow cave?
Do you like to hike in the woods or canoe in rivers?
Would you like to learn about plants and animals, first aid, or shooting a 12-gauge shotgun?
Does cooking on a camp stove in the wilderness, then sleeping under the stars (no tarp or tent) sound like fun?
Would you feel proud to wear a sharp uniform decorated with symbols of your accomplishments for everyone to see?
Do you want to learn to be a leader?
Does preparing your own backpacking food sound like a good skill?
If your answers are YES, we invite you to come check out Troop 80, “Where the action is.”
Here is what sets us apart from other Troops:
Boys lead the boys and the adults make sure no one gets hurt when something explodes. Ex: Troop 80 Scouts wrote this letter.
We play a game at every meeting.
We plan an outdoor adventure for every month.
We have over 50 years worth of traditions, like the “Silver Spoon Award,” presented to the Patrol with the best food on a campout.
We are small, around 30 boys.
We treat every campout as if it were a backpacking trip.
So come and see Troop 80 any time!
